Impedance Bond

July 27, 2017

Merriam-Webster defines Impedance Bond as "an iron-core coil of low resistance and  elatively high reactance used on electrified railroads to provide a continuous path around insulated joints for the return propulsion current and to confine the alternating-current signaling energy to its own track circuit"

Noratel Power Engineering has been designing and manufacturing Impedance Bonds and Mini Impedance Bonds since 1993.

Noratel Impedance Bonds are built to meet the stringent mechanical and electrical requirements of AREMA, Communications & Signal Manual. They are tuned or un-tuned with capacity of up to 2,500 mps per rail.
